Aralditing the main structural composite panel
This is the main structural composite panel for the front nose box. There's a lot of araldite 420 in there, some of it spread by hand! It took two weeks to make that panel, but it’s one of the most important ones in the car as it supports the radiator. It’s the front splitter and it’s the first part of the car in contact in a crash.
The heater is on to help the adhesive go off well and I’ll leave it under all that weight for about a week to make sure it’s a little longer than 24 hours. I’ve also used the jigs I used to manufacture the panels to now help evenly distribute the weight.
